UNLV got things started in the second half, and once again, it was Boone, this time drilling a jumper to extend the UNLV lead to 10 points, 33–23.  The lead jumped to 21 points, 46–25, after Boone made a layup, and the route was on.

Wyoming failed to score a point until the 12:44 mark of the second half. Meanwhile, UNLV extended their lead to 23 points after Johnson III nailed a jumper to give the Runnin’ Rebels a 48–25 lead.

UNLV cruised to a decisive win over Wyoming and beat them 62–48 in front of a thrilled crowd at the Thomas & Mack Center.

I’m really proud of our guys, knowing and respecting how good of a team Wyoming is, how much better they’ve been getting, and how hard they play; I thought it was evident in the way we prepped and how we played,” UNLV head coach Kevin Kruger said after the game. “Knowing how well they shoot it, I thought tonight was about as good as we have been in terms of executing what the points of emphasis were. We did a really good job of forcing tough shots, forcing some shots out of rhythm, and just knowing how important that was in guarding a really good shooting team like Wyoming.

UNLV will be on the road to take on New Mexico next Saturday, February 10th, at 6:00 p.m. Thanks for visiting for your Las Vegas Sports news today.
