Coming off a huge win, Las Vegas Lights FC had another important match against San Antonio FC. Heading into the match, Las Vegas was three spots out of the playoffs with 38 points. San Antonio was sitting at the last spot in the playoffs with 41 points.

Lights FC pulled off the victory 4-2 to get to 41 points for the season and now sit one spot out of the picture for the USL Championship Playoffs.

Irvin Raul Parra got things started quickly for Las Vegas with the first goal of the match in the 8th minute. However, it did not take long at all for San Antonio to tie things up, scoring off a Brian Gomez goal just two minutes later. Tabort Etaka Preston also continued his streaky scoring for Lights FC with a goal in the 22nd minute to put them up 2-1. Right before halftime, Parra scores his second goal of the match in added time to take a 3-1 lead.

San Antonio caught a break when Gabe Robinson got called for a foul in the box, leading to a penalty kick. Frank Lopez scored on the ensuing penalty to make things 3-2 in the 70th minute. Although it was close, the rest of the match was all Las Vegas as they were able to clinch the win in added time with a Cristian Martinez goal. Lights FC officially won 4-2.

It was quite the chippy match with players from both clubs receiving yellow cards. The intensity hit a peak when Lopez received a red card and was ejected for San Antonio.

Las Vegas now sits at 11th place with 41 points on the season. The club is now only three points away from jumping into ninth place and in the playoff picture. Their next match is possibly their biggest of the season, as they face arch-rival Reno 1868 FC next Saturday at Cashman Field.
