This week, the FSM Prep Rally Game of the Week was two top teams in the FSM Prep Rally Top 10 Rankings. The Liberty Patriots traveled to northwest Las Vegas to take on the Arbor View Aggies.

The two perennial powers faced off in what could be a playoff preview. Liberty was coming off a shut-out win over Silverado last week, while Arbor View beat Legacy.

From the start, this was a hard-hitting affair by both teams. Both defenses came to play and brought the wood. Liberty got the first score of the game on their first possession when running back Isaiah Lauofo scored a touchdown. Jayden Robertson converted the two-point conversion, and Liberty had an 8–0 lead.

The Patriots scored another touchdown, this time from Robertson, who took a slant for a 55-yard touchdown reception. Once again, Liberty converted on the two-point conversion; this time, Robertson connected with Jae Beasley for 2 points.

The Aggies scored in an unconventional fashion when Jayden Williams, the talented sophomore wide receiver, caught a deep pass but fumbled the ball inside the Liberty 20-yard line. The ball bounced around, and an Arbor View player jumped on it in the end zone to give them the touchdown. They failed to convert on the play, resulting in a score of 16–6.

In the second half, the defenses tightened up, and neither team could get their offense going. Senior athlete Andre Porter did score a touchdown for Liberty, and with the two-point conversion once again being successful, the Patriots led 24–6.

One of the highlights for Arbor View was the play of cornerback Adrian Peterson. He did an excellent job in coverage all night long. But the FSM Prep Rally Player of the Game went to Liberty’s Jae Beasley, who was disruptive all night, long on defense, and a menace on offense. It was the first time the UNLV commit won the award.

When it was all said and done, the final score was 24–8 Liberty over Arbor View.

Next week will be senior night at Liberty High School as they host Shadow Ridge. It will also be senior night for Arbor View as they host Silverado.

The final score in the Liberty vs Arbor View game was the Patriots beating the Aggies, 24-6.

The number #1 ranked Bishop Gorman Gaels defeated the #7 ranked Desert Pines Jaguars, 56–12. That’s a big win for Bishop Gorman since the number one team in the country, Mater Dei, lost to their rival St. John Bosco 28–0. The Gaels are now positioned to be the #1 ranked team in the country and have a clear path to a high school national championship.

#4 Foothill beat #9 Faith Lutheran in a key 5A-D2 game that could determine playoff seeding. Meanwhile, the top team in the 4A division, the #5 Centennial Bulldogs, beat Mojave 42–14. Ty Hanley had three interceptions for the Bulldogs in their win.

Sunrise Mountain pulled off the upset of the night when they beat #8 Canyon Springs by a score of 18–13. #10 Basic defeated Green Valley 19–17 in the Henderson Bowl. The game ended as Green Valley rushed on the field to attempt a 35-yard field goal. But the officials determined that the Gators were not correctly set, and they missed the kick. In that game, Zuri Whiters had three interceptions.

Liberty vs Arbor View could be a playoff preview in the 5A-D1 division.
