The Golden Knights were in Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets on Monday evening. The Golden Knights were looking to avoid a three-game skid with a victory in Columbus. Well, that didn’t happen as the Blue Jackets beat VGK 6-3 in a game that once again leaves more questions than answers for the Golden Knights.

The Golden Knights record drops to 33-22-7 after losing to the Blue Jackets. The Golden Knights wrapped up their Eastern Conference road trip at 1-3-1 and will hit home ice on Thursday night.

They wanted the puck more than we did,Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy said. “It’s going to happen sometimes, but our will right now to compete on pucks just isn’t good enough to win consistently in this league, and that’s exactly what we’re going through.

Nylander doubled Columbus‘ lead at 13:11 with his second goal of the season from the doorstep after receiving an excellent feed from Alexandre Texier.

VGK fought back late in the period to score two goals in less than a minute. First, Mason Morelli recorded his third goal of the season, and William Karlsson added his 22nd. The two teams were locked in a 2-2 tie going into the first intermission.
